Takane 4/4 Westminster Chime Non-Pendulum Clock Movement
This is a brand new movement, made by Takane. It has a Westminster chime (good sound quality) that chimes as follows: 1/4 of the chime at 15 min., 1/2 of the chime at 30min., 3/4 of the chime at 45min. and a full chime and counting strike on the hour. Great for mounting on the back of a clock that is open.
Please be aware that if you mount this inside a solid wood clock case the volume may be too low to hear
. There is no volume control knob but the sound can be amplified by attaching a tube (paper towel roll, PVC plastic plumbing pipe, etc) to the end with the speaker.
The case size is: 3"W x 3-7/8"H x 1-1/4" Deep. Shaft diameter, at the widest point, is 7/16".
This movement now comes in 4 shaft lengths to choose from:
Extra Short = 5/16" threaded length, overall length 5/8"
Short = threaded shaft length of 7/16", overall length 3/4"
Long = threaded shaft length of 11/16", overall length 1"
Extra Long = threaded shaft length of 15/16", overall length 1-1/4"

Movement has a rear hand set knob for setting the time and requires 1 'C' battery (not included). It has an attached, enclosed tube speaker at top of movement. Can power up to 12" hands! Includes hour and minute hands and all mounting hardware. We also have the pendulum version in our ebay store.
