Here is an amazing  streamline butter dish circa 1940s  by Universal Pottery.  Well made and heavy..
It is 6.5 x 3.5 inches. It looks quite nice with some discoloration and age crazing as shown.

Butter dish measures 7 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
